my son has been coughing for about 2 weeks or so now. he has no fever, a little runny nose. at first he only coughed in the morning and didnt at all during the day, now he started coughing occasionally during the day, too. its a chesty kind of cough, and i imagine a part of it has to do with mucus from his runny nose.
it doesnt seem bad enough to go to a doctor, he eats and drinks well, poops and pees and happy and active. i know that if i take him to the dr, they'll just tell me to give him a lot of fluids and ride it out. to my knowledge, there is not over the counter cough medication for a 2 year old.Â
is there anything i can do to help him?Â
