thank you for the suggestion Maiasaura, I did think about that one...But then I remembered from Feng Shui, that one shouldn't put anything under the bed for peaceful sleep.  So I let that thought go...Maybe I can? Anyone? Because if I can, that will be awesome and ideal!

I think I would still make a new one so that my wants and desires have a fresh new energy rather than stale.

Morning:)  Boy this year it is just not coming together for me.  I feel totally blank.  I have things cut out and on the board, not taped down though and I don't feel ready to make it permanent yet.  I don't know what it's all about but I am just waiting for the spark to hit.  It just doesn't feel right.  It could be that there are a few things I have going on that are up in the air until tonight, maybe that has something to do with why I can't finish?

I agree with Neva - the exercise of doing a fresh map would be very much worth doing.

I realized this year's board looks very much like last year's board, for me. A lot of things for me didn't manifest. I put those same issues on again, only on a fresh board. What did manifest, did really well, but I guess the other things need more time and the extra oomph of a new board.

I'd go ahead and start gluing anyway. I felt the same way about mine, till I started the background and the placing/gluing process...then it just got a mind of its own and went from there. And got done. In a day

I finally finished gluing everything down on my map just now.  Same as last year, I couldn't fit everything on the front and so I will put some things on the back, too.  I also still have to make the family map in the hallway.  But I am so glad to finally have at least the front of mine done; this map has been making me tired.  lol

Like others have said, I used many more words this year than images.  There is A LOT on there; this will be a positively busy year! 

As I said, I used astrology for my layout, and I put Mercury in the 3rd house and a beautiful image of Jupiter in the 2nd house.  The moon also wound up in the 8th house, not consciously by design.  I did not paste down Taurus after all....I used the word "STEADY" and also used SUSTAINABLE and sustained in a couple of places instead.  I would like to be determined and steady in a Taurus way, but I wanted to avoid becoming stubborn or inflexible, so emphasizing the positive qualities seemed more appropriate to me.

It's funny... my TM has lots of images on the left hand side and almost all words on the right hand side (as I look at the TM).  Not bad necessarily, but kind of... lopsided?  I don't know, and I wont change it, but it's not something I've had happen before.  So it's interesting to see that others were also finding more words than in the past.  And add me to the "not really feeling it" group.  LOL  I was all excited for TM to start, and then once I actually sat down with the magazines... nada.  It just didn't seem to flow.  I ended up with some really great images and words, but it wasn't the same sort of easy process it has been in the past.  This map just kind of dragged it's feet and stayed elusive till I started actually pasting things to the paper.

Random idea... since people have mentioned not having enough room for all their images/words... I generally go through and assemble my images/words on the table or floor, then cut a piece of cardboard, wrapping paper, poster board, or fabric to fit.  My 2010 map was in the form of a tree ("I" was the trunk, the roots spread out with images and words representing things I wanted to have supporting/feeding me, the branches were things I wanted to grow during the year) and it was nearly as tall as I was!  I used a roll of butcher paper and just kept unrolling it.  This year I used the side of the giant cardboard box our dishwasher came in (the dishwasher being an amazing manifestation and delivered the day before TM started)... I just cut it out with more rounded edges to match the images.  I know everyone is done with their maps for this year (or nearly done) but it might be an option in the future.  :)

Same here... An abundance of images on the left side and the right side is all words and affirmations! Semi-OCD when it comes to balancing the TM in the past, but oh well!

I decided to put blank notebook pages in my TM journal. I flip through it during the week and when I need inspiration, reflection, calm etc- i look to my map. When I am stuck on something, I have taken to writing it in the journal. it has helped in many ways

I wrote- "write" on my paper and originally, I was thinking of my blog but the above makes sense and feels right

Apparently last year's map is still in motion since I had photos of cows pasted on it and today I finally got around to buying a raw milk share. Good thing, too, cause we need some nutrient-dense raw goodies these days. 

Feeling really good about my map... hope everyone is enjoying their time :-)

That's interesting and a wonderful idea.  I was having a conundrum the other day about a situation involving a friend and my husband looked at me and said "well, what would your treasure map say?"  That was totally right on - it has helped me, too, already so very much.

I hope I didn't make my map too busy. I've had one heck of a roller coaster of a fricking week which won't end until Sunday (it has gotten some what better). So much stress that I've been violetly ill. I've actually forgoteen to look at my TM up until coming back to this post even though it's right next to my computer. I did put "Each Breath I take strengthens me" on my map, which I place on my map because my cardio when it comes to biking leaves much to be desired. Well don't you know I've had to use many breathing technics to get through these last few days.

There have already been small things happening on my map.

Hoping everyong else is seeing movement and it in positive light. I did have to giggle at the pet cow. :)

I have returned from the other side of the world.   I have been underground with a huge project at my son’s school.  Note to self: The next time someone says, “Hey, Tracy do you want to be in charge of the Centennial Alumni Celebration—say no”.    All I can say is at one moment yesterday I said the words, “Cue the marching band!!”  lord.    Jupiter transiting my 1^st house is soooo big.

Anyway, I have not been here since the day of New moon.  It looks like you guys have been doing a beautiful job without me.  I’m so thrilled for everyone and their maps.  And yes…I’m scrambling today to finish my own!! Before Full moon.  I told you I didn’t think I would do it in the first 3 days and I would need all waxing moon and I’m just getting under the wire for that! 

Tracy, if you are reading, I have another astrological question; is there some strong Virgo influence in play now in general?  While this map is HUGE and very Aries, for me I am feeling an extreme Virgo influence on this map, and I wondered if there was an easy explanation for this.  I think it can't be specific to me, as i have no planets in Virgo. (This sign straddles my 8th (Saturn) and 9th (Pluto) houses, tho, so maybe it is somehow specific to me?  if so, sorry and nm).

Interesting.  There aren’t any Virgo planets in the new moon chart. But I didn’t check the asteroids.  Maybe one of those guys is in the mix.    And the new moon chart is probably in your own 2^nd our 3^rd house—which is not 6^th and that would be the ‘virgo’ house.  Hmm? Not sure. I wonder if this is  Pluto in Cap hitting a Taurus planet?  Do you have Taurus planets  in your chart?   That might bring the earthy factor that can feel Virgo of course.

YES! I have had things take a couple of maps to manifest.  Don’t give up, the freshness of the board is important.

Yeah, though, it's so weird. My last year's map and my this year's map look lots alike. Only last year's "theme" was tarot cards (I xeroxed them and placed about a dozen of pertinent ones around my map) and this year's "theme" is flowers, but the bagua sections look lots alike, 2010 and 2011.

I was more vague this year, with the moving-- I didn't put anything about my house selling because, dunno if you saw this, Tracy, but I had this flash that maybe putting a photo of my house on the map was keeping my house in my life. So I just put things about moving and accepting changes easily and things like that. And being an intact family with my true love and my DS. And things about DS's behavior (I put a photo of him with the word "BALANCE", for instance).

I kept M and me on there, with a new, updated photo of us. I put things about M's health again (with his permission, of course). And our own health, and togetherness. My budget section rocked this past year, so I just put more things about managing my money on there. And a new, updated picture of me

No vegetables this year I always had lots of pix of veggies. Nothing about gardening this year, either. Lots in my spirituality section about Count Your Blessings and Peace and stuff like that. Breathe (I think that's in there twice) and Grounding.

I don't stare and stare at my map this year like I have other years. I forget it's there. I think it's because it's so similar to last year's and I already know what it is that I want. I hope that's not bad, that I don't gawk at it like I've done in prior years!

Thanks, Tracy.  One of the affirmations I wrote on my TM was "I am fortunate to have a supportive partner" and I feel blessed to know how true it is.
