April Showers of Bajingo Juice! TTC#1 in our 30s - Page 2

Bah... for some reason, I can't hit the return key and make it work. Just wanted to say to everyone else, that I've had enough time to read your posts, but not much to respond. Sending all of you blowkiss.gif! I'll catch up on posting soon - three more work days until spring break!!

Taxlady, I am cheering for you!!!!!

Congrats Taxlady on your eggs being ready to transfer and that the procedure went well.  I will be praying that the eggs stick and that some beautiful babies are a result!

Any of you take prenatal vitamins?  I started taking them on suggestion of my general practioner.  There is a warning that the vitamins can change the color of feces.  Anybody else get this weird side effect?  I have been taking them for a week and just noticed a difference today.

Yea! Tickletoes!  My cycle buddy - let's get BFP's!!

Thank you friends for your well wishes!!  And congrats on the job Birdie!!  I hope it's something you'll enjoy.  Lilac - I am taking my prenatals.. and thanks for reminding me about them this morning.  I haven't noticed a change in color, but occasionally, I have to skip a day because they sort of make me constipated.  (where else on earth would you write something like that??)

I'm calling the doctor's office right now to see if it's ok if I go into work this afternoon.. you can call me crazy.

Yes, taxlady, I agree where on earth can you ask these questions!  I am glad the MDC exists!  yeah, I have noticed a little bit of constipation.  I have been trying to drink more water and eat more veggies and fruits to try and take care of that.

fingersx.gif  for TAxlady and TickleToes testing on 4/14... I'm praying hard for some BFPs!

lilac - I haven't noticed any color change with the prenatals... but when I was on some kind of iron supplement a while back, I did notice a color change then... and constipation.  Lots and lots of water seems to solve it.  Oh, and I've read that kiwi has a laxative effect... I've been eating kiwis like crazy lately.  Glad they taste so good!

Hope everyone else is doing well.  Things here are still crazy... and MIL is seriously getting on my nerves lately.  I'm sure it's partialy hormonal on my part.  Could someone have some Boone's Farm on my behalf?

Yeah Taxlady, sounds like it went well. Stick eggies, stick!

Since we were talking about how to bring up pregnancies to someone who's having a hard time TTC....my cousin had her baby this week. She'd heard about my loss and sent my mom a card asking what she thought she should say to me so as not to upset me, then she sent me a card just to make sure I was doing ok. I thought it was really thoughtful of her and I sent her an email making sure she knew I was fine and wanted to see pic of the new baby. It was little sad because if I hadn't had the ectopic then our kids would have been 9 months apart which is how apart we are, but I'm super happy for her. and glad that I could share in her happiness without a cloud between us.

Congrats on the job Birdie!

And I don't think I've Welcomed Lilac yet wave.gif ....I've been taking prenatals for a long time. I'm sensitive to minerals so it took me a couple of months to build up to being able to take a whole one. I didn't notice any "bathroom" changes but the made me break out something horrible!

AFM (as requested winky.gif) I'm pretty much all healed up and feeling good. I decided it was time for a fresh start after the horrible winter, cross country move and crappy March. so I dyed (haha I originally spelled that died...which would not be a good thing) my hair..no more platinum, painted and rearranged the living room (it's all light and happy now) and booked a vacation. We were planning to go to Iceland but I would have been like 5 months along so that was kind of scary, but now we are good to go so we've booked our trip. My cycle still hasn't normalized. I'm counting my cycle starting from my surgery so that's about CD 23 and my temps are crazy. I think opposite of everyone else I'm looking forward to AF showing up. Hopefully it will be soon and then we have another month wait before TTC again. It seems like forever far away. I've decided to get an appointment with an acupuncturist, some of the ladies on MDC are fans so thought I'd give it a shot. For now I'm trying to keep busy getting the garden ready to keep myself from going crazy waiting to TTC.

Hello, Ramzubo,  you can call me Carla.

My husband the other night had rubbed my belly then said, "one at a time, one at a time" because he doesn't want to have multiple babies at a time.  Well tonight he came home and said, "Remember when I was rubbing your belly the other day.  I want our unborn baby to know my touch so I know I will rub your belly a lot because I want our unborn baby to know that I love his or her mama."  It brought tears to my eyes.  So cute!

aww Carla your husband sounds sweet.  Last night I was freaking out because my boobs hurt and my DP said "well they are busy making baby food."

Also I am taking prenatals and they don't make me constipated but when I took iron pills they did.  These just make the time I pee after I take it very bright!  I freaked out the first time because I thought I was dehydrated and I had been drinking so much water.

I hope everything goes good for you taxlady.  I'm rootin for those eggs!

dust.gifto you, Taxlady!

dust.gifto you, TickleToes!

And thumbsup.gif for Birdie's new job!

Ram, I think your cousin's approach to announcing the birth of her baby was really considerate.  I'm glad to hear you're feeling better and so jealous that you're going to Iceland!  I hope the acupuncture helps.  I know a lot of people who swear by it.

Val, I'd be happy to be your designated drinker until I get my BFP.  orngtongue.gif  I'm sorry your MIL is driving you bonkers.  If my MIL ever decides to visit us for an extended period of time, I'm checking into a hotel.

Meander, your ticker, wow!  You're halfway there! joy.gif

Lilac, I've been taking prenatals for a year and a half now.  Never noticed any odd colors, but they do give me stomachaches.

Tomorrow is CD10.   I probably won't ovulate for another 5-7 days, but I'm planning to break out the GSBs tomorrow.  I'm paranoid that I'll O early and miss it.  I'm thinking of cutting my hair really short.  I can't seem to find a hairstyle I like, so I figure I may as well just chop it off so I don't have to mess with it anymore.  I wish I had a cute little nose - people with small noses always seem to look better with short hair.

And those are my random thoughts for the day.

here, reading along, just still feeling kind of down.

congrats on your new job, birdie!

Taxi, my appointment is the 21st. Fingers and tubes crossed for you.

Ram - Glad to hear that you are feeling better!  Your trip sounds amazing, you'll have to give us all the details and share pics.

Meander - I second what Caly said!  I couldn't believe it when I looked at your ticker.  I'm so happy for you!

Lilac - Your husband sounds very sweet!  Too cute.

Tank - "They" (meaning supposed pregnancy experts) say the sore boobs get better as the pregnancy progresses.  I beg to differ.  My boobs have been more sore in the past week than they were in early pregnancy.  I guess every pregnancy is different!  My boobs seem to be better this morning, though.  Go figure.

Caly - Thanks for being my designated drinker!!  Good luck with the GSB - I hope he shows in a timely manner.  :)

Boots - Just wanted to send you hugs.  hug2.gif

Bel - I'm sure you're out there reading... so HI!  blowkiss.gif

TAxi and TickleToes (and anyone else in the 2ww) - fingersx.gif

wave.gif  A big hello to everyone else - Rosie, Cath, Cristini, Hykue, Birdie,  and everyone else I'm missing.

Ack! I sure am behind, I didn't realize we were on page two. And I *still* can't find Birdie's new job post. Congrats Birdie!

Carla - I just switched from target brand women's vitamins to Rainbow prenatals on the recommendation of my nutritionist friend. They have a "taste" and you have to take six of them, but no adverse pee effects so far. Your husband sounds sweet.

Rambuzo - Sounds like your cousin is sensitive and sweet. And I love that she sent cards. I'm a card-sender, whenever I have a note or a thought for a friend, and I thing there should be more of us in the world! (It also happens that a friend is a letterpress printer, so I have lots of personalized cards I love to send out!) Do you live close to your cousin? What are you prepping your garden(s) to grow?

Caly - What's your projected O date? I'm starting OPKs today too. FF says I'll O the 13th, but it's got so little data on me that I think it's +/- 2 days. I need to determine a OPK strategy. What time will you test, and do you do it twice a day?

AFM - I'm doing research this morning. Specifically, I'm reading about how certain classes of service providers (including doctors, mechanics, and taxi drivers) have incentive to cheat because of the ignorance of the consumer. The most salient example for this group would be OBs over-prescribing cesareans. It's been shown that rate of C-s are responsive to increased differential in cost of the procedure. Nothing new there, but I'm working to figure out a model of what types of consumers are susceptible to what kinds of cheating (over or under prescribing, or overcharging). Any thoughts would be welcome!

Aaaand, Hubby just asked me what my O date would be with a "I need to know when we should start bangin' daily." I'm not sure how that comes across over the internets, but it was really funny and really cute.

Rosie, ROTFLMAO.giffor you husband's comment. That DID crack me up!  Caly, I think the three of us are cycle buddies.  I'll start GSB tomorrow!!! I don't know why...maybe because I've lost 8 pounds since last cycle...I feel pretty hopeful this cycle.

Oh, and I take Rainbow prenatals too...but I take the one a day. Also calcium, Omega 3, vitamin D, acidopholus, cranberry...I think that's it.

Boots, sorry you're still feeling poopy.  loveeyes.gif  Love you though!

Val, I'll maybe have a drink for you this wknd too!  champagne.gif

Toes! Yay spring break!  Whoo hoo!

Taxi! So excited to hear about your little guys.  Can't wait to hear!  dust.gif

Ram, sounds like you're feeling better, and in better spirits!

Birdie, Bel, Carla, Meander, love you guys!  Just flying by on prep!

Just finished sewing up a kimono robe I am making for a customer of my sewing business.  It is so pretty.  My house is cold, forgot to turn the heat back up this morning since I am on vacation and the heat is still on the "at work" schedule.

Had to laugh at the "banging daily" comment.  Love it when the men get serious about baby making.  My happy AF came last night.  Now on to waiting for O and then see what happens.  This will be the first month of birth control pills for me.

Catheleni and Rosie, so glad we're cycle buddies again!  Rosie, I'm expecting to O on the 14th, give or take a day.  I usually test once a day, in the afternoon (supposedly that's the best time of day to catch your LH surge)...which means it's time to test now!  Ooo, my very first date with GSB!

Bootsie, hope you feel better soon. hug2.gif Do you need some Boone's?

Lilac, glad AF showed up so you can officially start trying.  Maybe you'll have beginner's luck this cycle! fingersx.gif

I'm gearing up for a veritable bonanza of BDing.  I hope DH is up to the challenge.  Since this may be our last chance until September, I intend to give it a "good, solid try" this month.

Yeah Taxlady and Tickletoes...so happy the eggs are ready!!

Welcome Carla...it's wonderful that you joined...joy.gif

Rosie and Calycanth I think we're almost on the same cycle...funny how these things work out.

Ms. Boots the new thread looks great!!

My gut instinct and the cheap Internet strips madd me start OPK early. Since CD3 I have had a darkening progression, CM since yesterday and sharp cramps today... then my BBT fell off a cliff. I would L-O-V-E to O early vs. CD22 last month. Has anyone's cycle skipped around coming off of BCp?

OMG.. I am procrastinating on this huge box of extensions I need to prepare and what better place to go than the BJC?!!?!

This is a hilarious day.. WHOSE READY FOR THE BD "banging daily" BONANZA????

GO CALY!  GO CATHE! GO ROSIE! GO NORTHY!

wave.gif Meander - what a beautiful picture of your big baby!!

Rosie - that is really interesting work.  I know that there are firms (NOT MINE) that charge clients because they already know they have money.  However, we only charge by the time it takes here.. but I can see this being another group of consumers.  Just because you have more money doesn't automatically make your tax planning and returns more difficult.. but I can see how it would be easy to just believe that of your accountant.

Bootsie.. what can we do to help pick you up?  kid.gif I know this guy will make you laugh. Will  flowersforyou.gif help?  A hug2.gif or even a grouphug.gif.  How about a blowkiss.gif kiss.gifp.s. I love you and I'm sorry you're sad.
