Introducing . . .me

Thread Starter

I'm finally getting past my feeling of being overwhelmed by all the info and people here and am posting a bit about me.

I'm a mother of one, a 25 month old girl and puppy parent to two (enormous) dogs.

I remember a time when I believed that if a child could "ask for it" they shouldn't be nursing anymore and that a parent's bed should be only for parents.

Now I'm surprised that I've become a closet nurser (because of people with the above opinion!) and am just starting to think about how we will manage the move for our daughter to her own room in the (semi) near future.

Looking forward to learning from everyone here!

wave.gif Hi!

I had planned to nurse DD for one year and then see how things went. She ended up nursing for 6 years - her idea, not mine. We nursed in public until she was about 3 (and she was big for her age so she looked 4). Sometimes if people commented, I'd explain that we couldn't have dairy due to allergies and that shut them up. I think you'll find a lot of support for older nursers here.
