I'm currently a size 18. I've lost about 13 lbs and although my pants are fitting a tad looser I'm still wearing the same size. How many pounds did you have to lose to go down a dress size? I know it might vary from person to person but I'm just trying to get a general idea.

It's a wide range depending on how toned I am. I can be the same size within a range of 20 pounds ... less muscle on the lower weight side and lots of muscle on the heavier side. Sometimes I will lose a size, but no weight if I'm doing a lot of cardio and strength training. This past year I lost 15 pounds, but went from a size 10 to a size 4-6 (depending on the cut of the pant). Some of that weight was from having a baby, so I had a lot of toning to do.Â

it is a wide range...i have started some intense cardio/interval workouts and have lost about 5 pounds 2 weeks in. Â i went down a pants size with the first 3 and now with the next 2 seem to have lost a boob size?! Â i have also got back into following the Eat to Live diet so in addition to eating more vegs i am watching sodium.Â
