Do you recommend using Depends rather than OB pads?

I've got a few diaper looking things that seriously look like chux pads with fasteners for after the birth - maybe those are kind of like depends?

I also got a few extra long OB (overnight) pads for just after that and then I'm switching to my long cloth pads.

I do for the first 12-24 hours.

I used depends for the first day or two -- not only for lochia, but I had next to zero bladder control in the first 24 hours or so. If I stood up or coughed or whatever on the way to the bathroom,  yeah, I pretty much peed myself  After around the first day, that got a lot better but I ♥ Depends for that first day or two.

Me too. I think they are wonderful for the first few days.  Pads tend to be bulky and shift around, in my experience.  Depends are really pretty comfortable.

I wish I had gotten some Depends or something like it...I used overnight maxi pads, which were okay but I still leaked blood on my bed and I also didn't have good bladder control the first day or so.  They were great after the first few days.

They are wonderful for the first day. Pads have never worked great for me when laying down, which is all I do for the first couple days PP.

Good to know! I guess the thought of wearing an adult diaper kinda seemed a little weird to me but if it will keep me from leaking and making a mess everywhere it's worth it.

Haha! I have some OB pads but I'm gonna go ahead a get some depends and give it a try. I'll try anything once!

Anyone I know irl who tried depends instead of pads liked it!  I'll be using something like depends that my sister has left from her birth.

I'm actually not a fan of the depends.  I'd rather use a pad and mesh panties.  I love those things :)

I have the pads and mesh panties too leftover from my last birth. But I've been hearing a lot about people using the depends so I'll give it try.
