I'm a first time, stay at home mom, of girl/boy twins (14 months). Â We just started EC three weeks ago (part time). Â The first week, I thought this is easy. Â I'm catching pees and poops. Â Fast forward three weeks and I'm lucky if I can catch two pees a week! Â I even try after they wake up and after they eat. Â They'll sit happily on the potty with no elimination and then two minutes later I see them peeing/pooping on the floor.
Â
We switched out of Pampers during the day, except for nap time, and we are either diaper-less or wearing cotton training pants. Â I have been observing and cannot tell when they are about to pee or poop, until a couple of seconds before they eliminate (they usually just stop running around for a couple of seconds and then they pee/poop). Â Then they start running again. Â
Â
If they are wearing a cotton training pant, they won't even come to me for quite some time after they eliminated. Â
Â
It seems like everyone else's kids "tell" them that they have to pee/poop or that they already went pee/poop. Â Mine are content with staying in a dirty cotton training pant or just peeing/pooping on the floor.
Â
I feel embarrassed and frustrated, because it seems like everyone else can do this. Â Why can't I?
