So who's playing the lottery this year?

I guess that ds won last year but I wasn't part of the school yet and didn't get their helpful e-mail about the lottery, just the acceptance letter (the lottery is held if there are more applicants than spots). Yesterday I received an e-mail notice of the lottery being held Thursday and now get to spend that time pondering the difficulty of possibly having children at two different schools .

Dd got in, I soooooo relieved.

Where will he be going? I've never participated in any of these, but parents nearby describe the same feeling of relief when the primary school isn't working well for their child.

That's great news!  My dd is in a school with a lottery but she got in off of the waiting list last year because a lot of people changed their minds last year.
