Mold in Harsch Fermentation Crock - How to clean?

I was all ready to make a nice big spring batch of cabbage and when I opened my crock, to my horror, I found all this black mold on the weighting stones and base of the crock. (Sha-nasty!) I thought I had let the stones dry out completely before storing them but I guess a week wasn't long enough! Does anyone else have any experience with this? How/what would you use to clean/disinfect it? TIA!

I think I've figured out what to do. My main concern was the weighting stones because they're porous and I want to get rid of all the spores. Nevermind!

Do you mind telling what solution you came up with?

I had the same mold problem. Have you used the stones since? Did you have any trouble with the vinegar preventing future fermentation?
