No Ovulation on Femara, but Ovulation on Clomid??

Last cycle I took 50mgs of Clomid days 3-7 and ovulated on day 17. This cycle I took 2.5 mg of Femara days 4-8 and I'm on day 18 and haven't had a positive OPK yet. I am so pissed. I wanted to take the Clomid again but my doctor felt that Femara would work better. Has anyone ovulated late on Femara? I thought Femara was supposed to work better than Clomid. I feel like I could cry.

I usually ovulate regularly without medication - but I did ovulate quite late this cycle, on femara...  CD 22... It WAS a stressfull time for me, so it could have been delayed... I don't know if that is helpful, I am sorry you haven't ovulated yet - but there is still a chance!

Try 5mg. Turns out, that is the actual recommended dose. But with my other babies, I got pregnant on 2.5. But with this one, it took 5mg.

Thanks for the info- I ended up having an annovulatory cycle and my dr recommended I start Provera and then Clomid again.  Fingers crossed!

I did not ovulate on 2.5 mg of Femara but 5 mg worked like a charm! I did not O until day 17 or 18 though but it was good. That is the cycle I got pregnant!
