IUI and clomid

Good afternoon everyone,

This is my first time on this site....I had a natural IUI on March 17th 2011unfortunately it did not take .  Next month in May I will be trying for a second IUI and decided I want to try with meds.  Any advice from those who have been successful with an IUI with meds.

You might get more results if you post this in the infertility forum. Lots of ladies over there have done IUI + meds.

I have not, but just as general advice, clomid can thin your uterine lining (preventing implantation), so if you go that route, estrogen supplementation is often recommended. At a minimum, your doctor should be monitoring your uterine lining to make sure it's thick enough.

Lisamich - I think where Monkeyscience is talking about (I could be wrong) is the "April 2011 Infertility ONE thread".  There are lots of ladies there that are doing IUI's so that might be a good place to join in on the action and get lots of your questions answered.  Lots of good ladies w/ info there!!  Good luck!!

Lisamich, I have only advice - make sure you do it with profesional reproductive doctors (read reviews, look up clinic succes rate),,,regular ob/gyn may mess you up...And do not be afraid to ask or say something - doctors know the books but each of us are very different,,,Did you have all tests done? Do you know what is wrong? Good luck!
