My son is 9 months old.  He has been teething for the last 3-4 months.  He used to sleep so well before then.  He has 8 teeth now and I think he is working on 9 and 10.  The last several nights he has woken up around 3:30 am and refused to go back to sleep.  He is tired, and actually his eyes are even closed, but he is restless, squirming and whining or crying.  I hate to medicate him but we do give him the Boiron camilia.  He won't nurse.

He's been fighting going to sleep at bedtime and at naps.  So he has been up until 9 or 10, wakes up at 3:30, we try to get more sleep and maybe he might sleep for 30 minutes here or there until 6:30.  I'm exhausted, and I really think he needs more sleep than that!

Any advice?  Teething has been rough this whole time but should it be getting worse?  Are some teeth harder than others or is something else going on?  Should I give him something stronger than the Camilia?  I have never given him anything like Tylenol or Motrin.  Any thoughts on why he would be crying or fussing but not even opening his eyes?
