Medicine to a 1.5 yo

My son has to take 10 ml of bubble gum flavored antibiotics (yes, they are actually necessary for his infection) and he hates it. Here's what we've tried so far:

-mixing with juice

-mixing with smoothie

-using different droppers

-letting him use his little cup (looks like a shot glass)

What we've ended up doing is holding him down and forcing the syringe in. Any other suggestions?? I'm at a loss and we have 4 days left!!

All I have ever successfully managed has been holding them down with the liquid.  I now ask for a crushable tablet form of any meds possible and hide them in yogurt or pudding or something else that is a treat. I always check with the pharmacist to be sure what I want to mix it is is something ok for that med, usually they will have a great suggestion.

Treat after meds. Get a different flavor from the pharmacy.

Okay I hate to say this, but trick him........give him a syringe of fruit punch....let him squirt it in.....and then one with the meds.........(hey, you never know).............my kids just finished a few rounds of meds.....and one was really nasty......but CVS was really good (once I thought to ask) about knowing what flavor would mask some of the icky taste

someone suggested chocolate syrup....didn't work w/Biaxin and my DS (maybe if we could have put it on a potatoe chip :). It might work for you.

I will try these out!! I mixed it into a full-fat, full-sugar milkshake today... best time so far!

Our LO will take anything in this little mini-bottle looking thing we found for him when he had to take antibitoics for a UTI at 3 months. It looks like this: http://www.greatbabyproducts.com/Mini-Medicine-Baby-Bottle-p/step-669607.htm

He's 22 months now but still likes it.
