Dehydrator recommendations

Getting excited to do some sprouted grain; which dehydrator do you use and/or recommend?

Until I can afford one, would the oven on warm suffice?

Sorry for the brevity, dd is nursleeping on me right now winky.gif

I bet you could check Craigs list. Mine has several for around $10-20 each.

Oven will work fine to dehydrate grains, if the temp goes low enough to just dry and not roast.  Mine has a warming drawer, so I use that.  I have an Excalibur dehydrator, but it's easier to use the oven for drying sprouted grains, rather than drag out the dehydrator for something that will only fill one tray out of nine and take up half my kitchen table.  The Excalibur is wonderful, I use it for drying fruit, veggies, jerky, etc.,  and if I was doing a bunch of grains at once rather than just a couple of cups I'd use it for that also, it's an issue of volume and convenience.
