I'm going crazy over here trying to figure out what is going on with my body.Â
My ds is 11 months and has been bf since day 1. He has recently started to eat tons of solid food in the last 2 weeks, he hasn't really had much interest before so I never pushed it. DH and I are not actively ttc, but we aren't avoiding at all either. Ideally, I'd like to lose the rest of the baby weight before we have another baby, but we'd be so happy to have another addition to our family at any time.  I got my ppaf in Nov, 5 cycles ago. Each cycle has been 25 days, except one that was 30 days. I have had 7-9 days of very light bleeding, except that one long cycle which was much heavier. I don't think I have ovulated yet, at least not obviously, I have had some ewcm, but not like I did before ds. Before I got pregnant with ds, it was very easy for me to tell when I was ovulating. I'm sorta charting, but not temping right now because it's too hard with a teething co-sleeping babe, but it might be something I need to do. Anyways, so now I'm on day 36, no af, 5 neg pregnancy tests, tons of creamy cm, and cervix is very high!  What is going on???Â
Should I call my ob and ask his opinion? Any thoughts? Anyone going through the same thing? I just want to know already pregnant or not???  Â

My son is 3 and still nurses, just not much any more. All of my cycles since getting my first PPAF (when DS was 18m) have been an average of 51 days long. I only recently started temping to see what the heck was going on with my body, because the cycle I'm on now is on day 134!!!  I was finally able to confirm O on CD120, with my temps. During this SUPER long cycle, I've had a lot of time to do research.
Â
Nursing, stress, illness, etc, etc, etc can delay O, and therefore AF. When your cycle is delayed, your body will go through 'waves' of preparation for O, by showing fertile signs (EWCM, HS cervix and pos/nearly pos OPKs). There will even be temp dips and raises. O can only be confirmed by sustained high temps after a dip.Â
Hopefully that explains everything...and especially since you ares still nursing, I don't think you have anything to worry about with your cycle being so long.
Â
Also, a lot of women are still able to see an O shift, even when their temping situation is not ideal, so you should try temping for the rest of this cycle or longer to see if it will work for you.
Â
Like I said, I've only recently started temping, but I do have a 'false O' temp rises just before my true O rise if you'd like to see what I'm talking about. http://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/2ae399

GOOD LUCK!!!
