96.6/96.8 basal body temps, help!

Has anyone had any problems with lack of period/low basal body temps?  My baby is 15 months old, stopped bfeeding at 12 months, I haven't gotten my period back (and it was super! irregular before baby).  Started tracking my temps and i'm in 96.6/96.8 degree range in the mornings.  Hormone blood tests came back ok.  Acupuncturist thinks I need to increase my blood amount (ie Floridex, beets, etc) since i eat mostly raw vegan diet.  Does anyone else have any experience with low body temps?  I'm at a loss of what to do and we'd like to get pregnant with #2 this spring. Help!  My highest body temp so far was 97.1.  What are some of your normal ranges?

Inna, are you temping orally? Those were the numbers I was getting as well when I took my temperature with the thermometer in my mouth. I also tend to breathe through my mouth due to sinus problems. So, I started temping vaginally and my temps are much closer to the "textbook." Do you know if you are prone to low blood pressure or low blood sugar? I am naturally prone to both (my systolic blood pressure, the "top number," is usually under 90). My doctor once told me this will effect blood pressure and is the reason I tend to be cold and tired - but it's normal and even healthy. Maybe you are naturally the same way and that is an added cause. Temping vaginally I have gotten and avg. of 97.4 before o and 98.1 after o.

I hope this is helpful to you!

I think it's nothing wrong w/ it,,,I hit those lows too, just my BT is jumpy a little bit (my chart is in my sig.),,,And I have low blood pressure too so I guess this may be related (plus my hands, feet and nose always cold),,,

Amenorea may be related with bad nutrition, you probably could try some suplements,,,Did you have your iron checked? If you TTC again, you probably could try some meds which help get your period back.

Thanks for your responses.  It's good to hear from others that have same temp ranges.  I do have low blood pressure, so that may be contributing to the temps.  I'm going to try to get back to ovulation without meds for the time being.  I've been tracking temps for 30 days now and no ovulation spike :(  Hopefully, everything will regulate itself soon.

My follicular phase temps these days are 97.0 to 97.5, but they used to be around 96.5, sometimes even dipping down to 95.9. My doctor checked my thyroid (TSH) and said there was nothing to worry about. I am not totally convinced that it isn't a sign of anything. I have an appointment with an acupuncturist and hope that that treatment will address the issue.

Also, keep in mind that a lot of factors can influence your BBT. Is your house especially cold? Do you sleep with your mouth open?

What's your weight like, and are you getting enough dietary fat in your raw vegan diet? You don't really have to tell me your weight, but a good rule of thumb for fertility is 100 lbs for 5 ft tall + 5 lbs for each additional inch +/- 15 lbs depending on body type. For example, I am 5'7", so I need to be about between 120 lbs and 150 lbs, and when I drop below 120 lbs, I don't have a period. For nutrients, do you eat fermented vegetables, water kefir, sprouted grains/beans, soaked nuts, lots of flax and chia seeds, soaked pumpkin seeds (one of your best sources of zinc and iron)? I've also heard that nettles infusions help support healthy fertility (vegan, but not raw). Have you been tested for nutrient deficiencies?
