Cheap, trusted source of Pink Himalayan Salt?

I use PHS for both baths and for cooking.  What is the best source for quality salts and economical as well??

San Francisco Salt Company has bath quality, horse salt licks, and culinary phs. I don't know what the differences in quality are, but I've been thinking about just getting the plain bath salt for cooking! Why would it be any different except bigger rocks? Idk. If you do get it there, do you mind posting back about it?

San Francisco Salt Company was great to do business with and I gladly recommend them. I bought 25 lbs of the "sherpa pink" salt in fine grade (it still needs to be run through a coffee grinder because the grains are a bit too large for a salt shaker). We've been using it for all our cooking and baking for about 6 months now, and I must say that pink salt has great flavor!

If I remember correctly, their site explains that all their Himalayan Pink salt is culinary grade. But since they're primarily a bath salt company, they tend to stock the larger grain size rather than the superfine grind that you normally see in the grocery store.

Hmmm, has anyone tried the Utah Mineral Salt? I was all set to purchase the phs, but then I saw the Utah, and that's practically local to me . . . . I want to buy a bulk order, but don't want to get stuck with a salt that we don't much like, kwim?

Are you talking about redmond real salt? From http://www.realsalt.com/ ? I bought the 10lb (or so, their shopping cart is down right now) bucket and it's lasted forever! I love the taste, and I use it in everything (including for salt scrubs, cleaning cast iron pots, etc).

Yes, from what I can tell, the Utah salt mine supplies Redmond RealSalt brand and they also sell non-brand-name salt to places like San Francisco Salt Company (right? I think I saw it there). Anyway yes it's delicious too :)
