I have been clothe diapering for 1 year now and this past month I had to switch to disposable for the night shift. Because I would have to change pj and bedding almost 3 times a night. And we are bed sharing so it was killing us. anyways what do you people do to keep your little one dry all night long without using the magic disposables????Please help I hate to use disposables .

What kind of diapers and covers are you using? I personally find that no matter what kind of diaper I use though, I NEED to use a wool cover at night. A thick night weight one. I personally prefer bamboo and cotton diapers for at night but some people need microfiber and lots of it to catch all the nighttime pee. Like I said though, no matter what material is in the diaper, I have to use wool on top.

I bought a wool wash and spray lanolin set off HC. Wherever you buy wool wash, they'll have directions. Everyone seems to have slightly different directions but it'll all work as long as you don't use really hot water :) Washing wool is actually pretty easy and fast regardless of the exact steps you use though. I personally just put my wool wash in a bucket of warm water, swish around the wool for a minute and then let soak for awhile. Pull out and squeeze out excess water then put between a bath towel and walk on to get more water out and let it dry over night. spray the wet zone with more lanolin if I feel it is necessary between washings (you don't have to wash after every use... I wash maybe once a month myself.. some people go two or three weeks.) All in all, it is probably about 15/20 minutes total before dry time including the soaking time where I don't need to be there for it. very little hands on time. If something yucky gets on like poop or food, I just rinse that off under the tap in cool water first before washing in the bucket.
