DD not growing?

Thread Starter

DD is 33 months and I swear, she has not grown a lick since we've measured her height in february.  As it is, she remains about the 5th percentile for height (roughly 34") and somewhere between 24.5-26.5 pounds (depending on what she's wearing and what she eats). She isn't LOOSING weight, just not gaining it either.

Developmentally, she seems good. Don't have much to compare her to, but her speech is very clear, potty trained, sings tons of songs and memorizes short stories in her books. I think she's okay in that department.  She's rarely sick (knock on wood) and seems to be, thus far, in good health.

Her appetite depends on the days (as with most toddlers, I suppose). She doesnt eat a ton, but she sort of eats. I supplement her with a whole food vitamin and probiotics.

I SHOULD mention, I am not so tall myself.  4'11", 100lbs, so, genetically speaking, she is probably inclined to be small. DH is about 5'11", but was a small kid.

I always hear "as long as they are growing" but I dont feel like she is (physically anyways). I'll probably take her for a ped appointment closer to her 3rd bday (she hasnt gone since she was 18 mos), anyways. but, Am I being paranoid?

DD1 is about the same age and I don't think 2 months is a whole long time to not grow.  My DD is on the larger side, but I still don't think she has really grown in height since Feb.

If you are worried though, take her in... it would be good to get a baseline for height and weight to see if she is growing and gaining over a few month period.
