Gluten Free Gravy Recipe

The biggest problem I'm having going gluten free is finding a gluten free gravy recipe we can have on mashed potatoes. (We like mashed potatoes and gravy served with overeasy eggs.) I don't want MSG so no nutritional yeast or products that contain natural flavorings, yeast extract, etc.

I made this one today and it's good. However, I think the sage is too strong for mashed potatoes. http://cupcakepunk.wordpress.com/thanksgiving-tutorials/side-dishes/vegan-gluten-free-gravy/

Anyone have any good suggestions?

Thanks.

I make gravy using mushroom soup. I make a roux first, so butter and flour, equal parts. You can use chickpea flour to make it gluten free. Then I add in a container of mushroom soup. I like the Imagine one, but have not checked the ingredients lately. The I add some tamari and a few herbs. It's delicious. We use it for biscuits and gravy and even omnis like it.

That sounds good. I always add mushrooms to our gravy anyway. If my daughter wasn't napping I'd run to the store right now and get some. I guess I'll do it when she wakes up. I looked at the Imagine website and the mushroom soup is gluten free.
