Help! DH and I met at Japanese school, and after living many years in Japan we are both fluent. DH was brought up speaking conversational Japanese in the home and English at school, but he's most comfortable in English. I'm a native English speaker and feel like I'm losing my Japanese now that we live in Canada.

We want DS to be bilingual so he can talk to relatives in Japan, but neither if us wants to be the parent that speaks Japanese to DS. He's 4.5 months old now and only hears English at home. Is it too late to start teaching him Japanese? Does anyone have advice for us? All our friends are first generation immigrants so I don't know any second generation parents trying to raise bilingual children.
