"Waiting on results of Amnio due to calcium deposit on my baby's heart..."

I was told by my OB/GYN to go see a gyneticist(sp) becuz of my blood tests...i went and also had a US. I was told there was a calcium deposit on my little girls heart, along with my age (29), that gives suspicion that my baby may be born with Downs Syndrome. At first my chances were 1 in 121...after the US, my chances went to 1 and 60. I elected for an Amniocentisis, and they told me the results would be back in a matter of a few days. I am the mother of 2 beautiful boys. This is finally my little girl. I am worried to death to get the results back. i will love her no matter what, but i am still worried. Someone please help me!!!

That happened to my sister too. Her son's heatr is fine, no DS either. Her OB had her go see a pediatric cardiologist for follow up. He did the follow up and testing for my sister's baby's cardiac work-up. She wasn't encouraged to have an amnio, just have the babe's heart scanned. Hang in there, it is hard. Big hugs! You will have an answer soon and can then breathe, and go from there.
