If your 2nd or later babies gestated longer than your 1st, how much was the difference? - Page 2

ds1- 38 weeks (induced after my water broke)

ds2- 40w1d (natural labor)

I was expecting an early baby the second time too. The extra 2 weeks really messed with me! lol

DS was born at 37+2 according to the wheel and 36+6 according to the dating ultrasound (spontaneous ROM followed by unaugmented labor)

DD was born exactly at 39 weeks (according to my ovulation date!; labor started on its own again, no water breakage this time though, luckily til the end).

Just to update, I am now 39+2 and no baby! 16 days longer than DS so far. Can I please just have a baby now????

My first was born at 37w5 days, and my second was 40w4d.

DS (DC #1): 39 weeks by castor oil

DD (DC #2): 41 weeks after repeated castor oil and other attempts starting at 39 weeks :)

Both due dates were solid as I knew ovulation dates. I did some cohosh the day of DC #2's birth.

1. ds 40 weeks 7 days, 7lbs 15oz

2. dd 40 weeks 9 days, 7lbs 9oz

3. dd 40 weeks 20 days, 8lbs 8oz (i set my dates, medically she would have been 44 weeks from lmp but i have late ovulations)

4. currently 39 weeks w/ d? and will report if we make it too late!

I measured high and big with all of them, but they had no interest in arriving anywhere near their due dates.  first involved interventions (gel), 2nd two all natural and much much easier!!!  except the waiting part..... especially that last one.

we've dubbed me the 'slow-cooker' and joke that the safest place to store a baby is in me, it won't show up for 10 months...

My first was born at 38+6, we were told to expect dd2 between 36 and 37 weeks due to pregnancy complications, but she waited until 40+6!! Dd3 came at 35+4 (PROM)

baby #4 was at least 41 weeks at birth.  she just arrived.
