Testing Wed...TERRIBLE cold and sore throat! Should I not take medicine???

Hi Everyone....we have been TTC for over a year. one MC. i now am 11 DPO with soaring temps and sore breasts. the closest i've felt to PG for over 9 months... it's been a long journey for us. of course, i have been SO TIRED the last couple of days and kind of over-doing it. i woke up with a WICKED sore throat and nasty cold...i am SO, SO, SO hoping that i test positive Wednesday (my fertility fried test date--first time i've actually waited the full amount of suggested time!).

Should I take medicine for the cold or should I err on the side of caution and look for an alternative remedy? Does anyone have any ideas? My throat is so raw and the nose is congested and i'm having lots of post nasal drip. If you know any helpful remedies, I'd be so greatful!

Thank you. :)

Sorry no one answered earlier!  Did you test this morning?  How did it go?  Even if you did opt for cold medicine, I wouldn't worry b/c remember that the embryo is nourishing itself for a bit.

thank you! i did take the medicine...i was so wiped out, i had to. yes, i tested....BFN :( BUT, i am a skeptic of my chart this month...I am going to post it in another thread and see what everyone thinks. here it is:

when do you think i ovulated?? i'm hoping i might have ovulated later than the chart shows (maybe day 16) and maybe i am pregnant and just not producing enough HCG right now. i usually have a temp dip BELOW coverline at least a full day before AF arrives and while today's temp was lower, it is nowhere near the coverline. Holding into hope!

It's entirely possible you ovulated on CD16 in which case you'd only be 11 DPO.  It's hard to tell without more information like CF, your normal LP length, and what your past charts look like.  It appears that you could have had an implantation dip on CD20... it's not that common, but it could be.  My advice would be to wait and test until you go past your normal LP length by a day or two using CD13 as O day and if it's negative and still no AF, test again four days later in case O was on CD16.  Good luck!
