A little late, but I wanted to respond...my daughter was one on the 24th too!
Â
She's walking, has been for months(started walking at 9 months). Says mama, dada..that's about it, sometimes she will say Bye, and she has said "Rabbit" clearly a couple of times(dh was reading her a book about a rabbit and she repeated it, and then a day or two later she brought me the book and said rabbit, but hasn't done it again).
Â
She eats anything and everything, we just give her a little bit of whatever we eat pretty much, and always have-she did, and still does, get some purees, but not much-her first food was a chunk of the brown bread they put on the table at Outback Steakhouse...another first food was steak..we've given her big chunks of meat to chew/suck on since 6 months, and she still LOVES it-she only recently started actually swallowing much of it, now that she has quite a few teeth-before when she had no/few teeth she only gummed it and sucked the juices out.
Â
She's sleeping through the night most of the time, occasionally if she hasn't eaten as much solid food as usual she will wake up once wanting to eat, but mostly she will sleep all night.   That has been fairly recent, we had some MAJOR sleep issues for the first 8 months or so, then we did some sleep training and in two days she went from waking nearly every hour all night(and being a cranky fussy baby all day) to just once or sometimes twice(and being a super happy baby!), and then the past few weeks she finally started sleeping from around 8:30 at night to about 7:30-8am without waking. It's awesome, that first 8 months was a nightmare for all of us, including her-the change in her from a cranky fussy baby that I thought was just high needs to a happy fun baby who had just been overtired all that time was amazing when we finally figured out how to get her to sleep!

It's been a really rough(at least that first 8 months when she was a cranky, waking every hour or two all night baby!) and really wonderful first year!  We love her so much, our little smiley dancing girl!
