i just wanted to point out that gender and sexuality are two different things. i often see people equating the two, but identifying as male or female is a totally separate thing from being gay or straight. a person who is born a boy, who identifies as and becomes a girl could like either boys or girls. if she liked girls, she would be gay, if she liked boys, she would be straight, regardless of her original gender. of course, a boy wearing pink, taking ballet or painting his toenails is no more likely to become a girl than is a girl who likes wearing blue and playing baseball. and their desire to bonk people of either gender after they enter puberty has nothing to do with either their childhood interests OR their own gender identity.
