Yay, congrats Geekgolightly! I thought for sure I'd be the first one to have my baby, but then I noticed there were some mamas due late april instead of an early May due date. I hope you all are doing well! Can't wait to meet my baby too!

alexander isaac was born 4/21 at 23:01 bright eyed and bushy tailed. i was induced with pitocin. Bag of waters ruptured by MD (grr) and four hours later Alexander arrived. I was doing really well naturally and at 9:30 I was 5cm and then it got *really* uncomfortable and I felt out of control. Couldn't leave the bed to walk or move about so I got an epidural without getting them to check me again and twenty minutes after the epidural he was born! No tears, no episiotomy, a couple pushes and hello baby.

Although I wish that I would have known I was transitioning when I asked for the epidural, I am just really really happy that I have a baby! He is in nursery currently bc his blood sugar dipped into the 40's.

Congrats geekgolightly. I think that is pretty common when you try to go without the medsl in a hospital. Transition is tough. I remember yelling for the meds at that point with my second but thankfully they said it was too late. :) Anyway... Enjoy your new little one!

I am thrilled to bits for you, geekgolightly!  Enjoy that gorgeous rainbow baby.  Just thinking about it is making my heart all squeezy. *sob*  Hope his blood sugar is back under control and you guys are cuddling and loving on each other :)

When I scrolled down to get to geekgolightly's announcement post, I saw that foreignerforlife had her baby on April 10...?  I must have missed that announcement.  Congratulations!

I just looked back and I don't see that announcement but I'm still thrilled for you all the same, foreignerforlife! Congrats on your baby!

she didn't actually announce it, i just went poking around.  i'm guessing she spends most of her time in the april ddc.  

i know there are a lot of ladies who posted their info on the roster, but then didn't really remain active in the ddc.  just thought i'd do some looking to see if anyone else had babies.  would like to acknowledge everyone on the roster.

I thought it might be something like that when I noticed she was due in late April.  :)  Yay for babies arriving!  I'm so excited!
