Normally i am totally an 'eat local' kind of gal but right now and going forward, i am soooo glad for our global diet options.
New Zealand: lamb of course, apples, kiwis, manuka honey, avocado oil
Australia: beef (which is mostly ranged anyways. as far as i know feedlots are few and far between in au)
South America: lots of produce. not sure about laws regarding pesticides etc. anyone know?
what other foods are easy to find/dont have a heavy toxic burden that originate in the southern hemisphere?
ps this is a support thread for people who are interested in eating from the southern hemisphere. i'm not interested in conflict or arguements here. i am interested in discussion with like minded folks who want to ensure safe foods for their families.
