4 yr old wetting the bed...

My daughter's been waking up in the middle of the night wet almost every night. Not all, but probably 5 out of 7 nights. I think it's something she'll outgrow as I atribute it to stress (dealing w/ VERY ugly custody battle) and I think it's possibly a way of getting attention from me in the middle of the night when no one else is around to distract me from her. She's also holding her pee during the day and when I tell her I can tell she needs to go she denies it and waits til the very last minute. Sometimes she blames me for her peeing her pants if I don't carry her to the bathroom in the middle of the night! She'll also throw a fit sometimes during the day. She waits til the last minute and then says she can't possibly move and needs me to carry her to the bathroom. If she pees herself she then will tell me it's my fault.

The custody battle is very huge in this I think because her dad has often told her that I am to blame for a lot of trouble in both of their lives and that I am a "bad mom".

I would very much like any and all feedback about this, please?

This sounds like a very serious cry for help and attention.  Many 4-yr-olds are not night trained yet - why don't you put her in a diaper/ pull-up (under panties if she objects) at night and not worry abt it until some of this awful stress is over?  The bigger issue seems to be finding her some psychological help/ support through the custody battle.

Yeah she has a counsellor whom we haven't been able to see much lately but I'll call her asap.
