We scored a free u-hual 32x32 barn!!!!

I'm so excited - this is something we've talked about doing but we just never did, but now that we're building our own place I guess it was justified to take the time to do it, not to mention I lucked out and found one listed locally and it had just been listed so we were the first caller!!!  I'm not sure what we will use the wood for yet - siding, floors, or even just a coop/new barn - but I'm sure we will find SOMETHING!!!!  Anyway, not many people I know would be the type to get excited about an old free barn, so I thought I'd share with you girls:)

That's awesome!  What a great find.  DH and I are involved in something similar.  The airport near us is buying and knocking down homes.  We have permission from the airport to go in and salvage whatever we'd like before the home is demo'ed.  So far we've gotten about 200 sq ft of oak flooring, 4 windows with vinyl storms, 2 exterior doors, a well pump, an antique toilet, and a a bathtub that was stolen before we could load it.  We're hoping to build a home from mostly vintage/salvage materials, since we both love old houses.  It's a pain to store it all before we start to build, though, since we haven't bought our property yet.
