Our naturopath was able to write my husband a referral to a hospital to have a SA done.  I don't remember the cost, but I believe any primary care provider can refer you.

I am so sorry for your many losses. hug2.gif

I'm not sure where you are located but this Indiana reproductive health facility does semen analysis without a referral.  The cost is $200.  I'm sure if you google your location you can find at least one facility that will do the same.  I just googled "semen analysis without referral."  I'm so sorry you are going through this.  Hopefully you will be able to get answers soon.

I'm so sorry for your losses, I can;t imagine sending good thoughs to your family.

Now about the SA I doubt it will give you any answers, it seems you are able to concieve without much dificulty so  I bet your DH has a normal SA, the test is basicly just a sperm count and looks at the motility and morphology.

Did you have your babies chromosomes tested?, If the losses were for chromosomal abnormalities the you can have your DH and you tested and that could be the reason for multiple miscarriages.

Most general primary care clinics can order SA for your husband, but I'm not sure that would tell you all that much that you don't already know.  SA just shows things like how many are normally formed, how many of them can swim, etc--no genetics.  Clearly, he makes sperm that "work" in terms of conception, but something on the inside isn't healthy.  I hope that when you say, "then my husband worked in a plastic factory," that it is past tense--and that he is out of there, otherwise it seems like a setup to have the same thing happen again.  Sperm take about 3 months to develop, so it would take at least that long for the effects of the chemical exposures to be out of his reproductive system.

Hugs, and wishing you well.

My OB/GYN ordered an SA when I had my yearly after explaining our history. It was no big deal.

How heartbreaking for your family.  It sounds like your husband (and possibly you, too) need to see someone who can help him detox from all that bad plastic.  Have any of the babies had chromosomal testing done?

I am so sorry for you losses. My heart goes out to your family.

My DH had "testicular trama" when his penis was burned with acid at work. Burned so bad that it continually peeled for nearly 2 years. Since then he has had poor Semin - especially morphology (shape), although taking supplements has improved it. I had a blighted ovum last summer, and have done a failed IVF and IUI (we are fortunate to have good insurance). However, my doc says that the blighted ovum and failed IVF/IUI are likely because of my egg quality, even knowing DHs acid burning. This is because of the fact that his sperm did in fact get me pregnant, and because when we were doing IVF, the eggs failed to fertilize (which she says is likely a problem with the eggs, not the sperm).

I don't know if that helps, but that is my story. I am sorry you don't have insurance. I would say that you should get yourself tested too, based on the fact that his sperm did get you pregnant, which may point to something that is not entirely because of DHs plastic factory experience (oh, and glad to hear he isn't working there anymore)  but obviously that isn't really a good suggestion without insurance. hug2.gif

I noticed you removed your post right after I answered. I am sorry if I offended in some way.
