More natural alternative to Tums?

Any suggestions for when heartburn strikes? I normally just reach for some Tums but the kid we get are full of dyes and extra sugar......

Yes! The best thing ever for heartburn is Papaya Extract chewables. I ate them my entire pregnancy and it was the only thing that would help. You can get them at most health food stores and the great thing is you can eat many many of them without any harm to you or the baby. Very natural and such relief! I tried the Trader Joe's brand but they arent nearly as good or effective as a more expensive kind. It is well worth the money to buy the good kind.

yep, that's what I do.  not only does it work with heartburn but also gas

Agree with papaya.  The other thing that has worked for my pregnant buddy is a splash of apple cider vinegar in warm water, or drinking kombucha.  Best wishes!

Apple Cider Vinegar!! I had horrible heartburn that felt like back pain at times and this was the only thing that helped. 1 Tbsp in about 1/2 warm water.
