CD cleaning question

For my first little one we used pre-folds and with our second we were given a stash of bum genius AIO's, my question is do you have to wash the shell if its only wet?Can you let it sun dry and use again without washing? Just a question: ) Thanks!

Well, I assume you mean wet with urine. I usually pop prefolds in the BG covers when we are at home and use two or three prefolds before retiring it to the dirty diaper bucket. However, I would not sun dry your diapers with urine on them. That sounds like a recipe for fading and permenant ammonia smell. What you can do though is keep a little squirt bottle of laundry detergent (diluted to thin liquid) in your bathroom and just hand wash the cover out really quick and stick it on the clothesline. I did that when DD was a NB and we only had two Thisties covers and about 30 prefolds.

Do you mean AIO's, Flip system, or one-size pocket?  If the latter you could re-use the cover a few times if you line it with the insert instead of stuffing the pocket.  If you stuff the pocket (which works the best and wicks nicely) then wash the entire thing every use.  Anything that touches baby needs to be washed each time.  As the pp said don't put the urine dipes out in the sun without washing.  If you're talking about a Flip cover, definitely reuse a few times.  If you're talking about their true AIO, then wash every time.

They are one size pockets.  I read online to wash after every use but have a few friends who don't but they lay the liner instead of stuffing it and I got confused. Your tip was what I was looking for, I only have experience with prefolds and covers so I wanted to be sure before using them on my son.
