What do you use to clean your wood/laminate floors??

I know it's not 'green' at all, but we've always used the Swiffer mop but I'm finding that it's just not cutting it any more and would like to try something new.  Preferably something that doesn't involve a ton of chemicals but will get my wood floors clean and actually shine!!

I use either a microfiber pad mop with a solution of water, vinegar, and tto (I put it in a spray bottle so the floors don't get soaked and I just use only what I need) or I use my shark steam mop.

hoover floor mate with vinegar, hot water and sometimes I will add a few drops of essential oils ( whatever I am in the mood to smell)

What is tto?

I love, love, love my steam mop.  Worth the money, IMO.  No chemicals, and it cleans really well (and dries super fast).  I don't have wood or laminate, but it works great on my tiled floors and I imagine it does so on other kinds of flooring, too.

tto = tea tree oil.  I personally like the smell and it aids in killing yuckies.  I also use lavender sometimes.

A steam mop is a great idea! I use mine on the tile, the wood & the laminate floors in my house. It works very well, and no chemicals whatsoever!

You all convinced me - just now ordered one from Amazon

ENJO. It is the best of all the microfibres and does an amazing job with just a little water. The mop itself is extremely well made and the fibre will last at least 3 years before needing to be replaced. The first few times I used it, it was removing the residue from old floor cleaning solutions but now my floors look better than they did when we moved in - and without chemicals or elbow grease.

We bought one from Home Depot yesterday and yes....TOTALLY worth the money. I could see a change in my floors immediately after using it.  Best purchase in quite a while!

Yay! Glad you bought one and love it.  It's crazy how it gets all the film/residue off the floor that regular mopping leaves.
