Today on Facebook, the "bride" in question posted a link to a story in the local paper. The priest is being investigated for some shady goings-on at the church (nothing abusive). I am not going to link to the article as at the moment it is an investigation and it's not my goal to embarrass anyone further.

 

However, what was interesting was what she posted at the top of the link - roughly: For all the friends and family who were offended by the sermon at our wedding - here's your chance to say "I told you so".

 

It would seem that we weren't the only ones offended, by a long shot. And the fact that she posted this suggests to me that she wasn't very pleased about it either.

 

We aren't extremely close friends so I just hope that it didn't ruin the wedding for her. It is nice to know that I wasn't over-reacting - at least too much.
