Looking to start a Waldorf type Playgroup for Toddlers in Lower Westechester, NY

Hello ladies,

I'm looking to meet likeminded mamas in my area who would like to join me and my babes for a weekly playgroup. My kids are 1 and 3 and I'd like for them to engage in play with other kids in a Waldorf type group. I've been thinking of signing up my toddler for a nursery in town where we live but none are nowhere near the educational philosophy of Waldorf or Montessori which I would prefer for both of them.

Also, I would like to meet nursing and/or co-sleeping and/or attachment parenting moms which overall holistic approach to life and parenting. If there any out there who'd like to get together for a play-date let me know.

We are moving to your area this summer and we are a waldorf family. :-) We are coming in August and then the search for housing begins...but we are focusing on all areas served by metro north, and maybe as far as Greenwich, CT because we are homeschooling and that area is better for that. Anyway, we would be interested in meeting like-minded folks! We will have a three year old, a baby, and an 8 year old who homeschools with a waldorf approach.

Hi!  I'm a local Mama (Larchmont) to a nearly 1 year old boy.  I'm very interested in Waldorf and think we do a lot of Waldorf-style things from what I've read.  I'd like to do more research into it, but in the meantime, I'd love to have some playmates with you & your kiddies!!!  E-mail me at [e-mail] to make plans =)

PS - When you say you're looking for a nursery for your toddler, do you mean childcare?  If so, I do childcare with my son =)

Hi Mamas! I'm mommy to a 3yr old living in New Rochelle.  You're correct about no Waldorf in the area ((closest is in Rockland) but there are some great Montessori programs.  My daughter goes to Liberty in Mamaroneck and is doing the summer program at Hudson.  I'd also love to arrange a play group.  Email me at [e-mail]
