My 2.5 yo DD fell and broke her arm last week. She is doing well but her right arm is in a cast from wrist to armpit. Because of the type of break she has we have to be careful she doesn't fall on her arm again. So we are not able to do a lot of the activities she loves like....
-junior gym
-backyard playground (swing is OK, playstructure/slide is a no no)
-jumping on a crib mattress on the floor (her "trampoline")
-sand box
-playdoh
So a lot of activities that might get too rough, dirty, or require a lot of hand/arm motions are out.

We are down to cooking/baking, taking a walk in the yard/neighborhood, reading, other sitting-down playing/talking. I also have a 1 month old so she is getting plenty of screen time already as well, probably 1-2 hours each day. I'd like to eventually cut that down to no more than 1 hour. I think she is probably a lefty which is good but she still uses both her hands for eating/drawing and such. She's still able to put socks/shoes on by herself and things like that. I know it's temporary (will find out how long she needs the cast on Wed, probably 1-2 months?) But we both miss her active play! She's the kind of girl who never just walks anywhere, she jogs/runs!  I'm looking for active yet safe play ideas! Any suggestions?
