Mamas in Cologne/NRW

Hi all! I'm new here.

I'm a 31-years-old SAHM living in Cologne with my husband and our two kids: DD Velma, who'll be 5 in the summer and DS Viggo, who was 14 months yesterday.

For 5 years now I've been looking for like-minded parents to no avail. I know of no one who cloth diapers, co-sleeps, extended-breastfeeds, or seriously babywears (I know occasional babywearers, who'll use slings once in a while but still mostly have their babies on their backs in strollers/bassinets).

Anyways, I got in contact with a fellow AP mama today who directed me to the forums here and so I was thinking maybe we could have a show of hands, who's in Cologne or in the NRW? Maybe we could organize some meetings? For the ones not in Cologne but in the general NRW area, we could at least have a monthly meeting, or something like that? I'd be up for packing my kids into a train once a month, or so, for a nice play date, we could rotate locations/cities. Anyone else interested?

Hi and welcome!

As far as I know, Terri and I are the only two regular posters from NRW, at least since I've been here almost a year now. I wish there were more, and maybe more will show up, but for now it looks like it's just us. I would also be willing to travel to other NRW towns/cities if other mamas are not in Cologne but want to meet up.

As we discussed, we'll meet soon. Terri and I already meet regularly, and we welcome anyone else to join.

Hello! I know this was posted a while ago, but I haven't been on here in a while. So I fell like I'm new again  I'm in Dusseldorf! And I too don't know anybody who does things at least a little like me! I will be here until Spring 2012, then it's up in the air! I have 2 DS (4 1/2 and 2). It would be fun to get out of the house...

I'm not in Köln/Cologne, but am in NRW. Dortmund/Wuppertal area (so, not *too* terribly far from Köln) - sorry, not going to narrow it down more than that publicly (don't mind sharing more details privately through PM or e-mail, though, heee), as I've only just barely started posting on this forum again and am, well, a nervous person.
