Meet the Doulas Night June 20th Providence, RI

Doulas of Rhode Island is hosting another Meet the Doulas Night on Monday, June 20th at 7:00 PM.

The meeting will be held at Rochambeau Library, 708 Hope Street, Providence, RI.

At this meeting, you will see a brief film created by our organization about how a doula can help your family. Q&A session, mingling, and light refreshments to follow.

I've never been to a Meet the Doulas event before but I checked out the fb link and it says that its intended for parents-to-be. I'm actually interested in becoming a doula and have started the reading. Is there any way I could attend a member meeting so that I may sit in and get a sense of what its like?

Hi Liz,

I haven't forgotten about you.  During the summer DoRI's meetings are less frequent and the next two that we have are social gatherings.  However, this Saturday, DoRI will have a table at the Holistic Health Fair being hosted at Back to Basics in East Greenwich, RI.  If you have time, this would be a great time to go and ask questions.  Things will start up again in September with actual business happenings at the meetings.  There will also be a presentation at 2:30 in the afternoon by Leah, one of the founders of DoRI.  The presentation will be held in the space next door to Back to Basics.  This might be very helpful for you.  And Leah may know of some other goings on where you might be able to join us.
