DIRECTOR OF PR AND MARKETING
Do you have a creative mind? Are you good at envisioning ways to get people excited about something? Do you enjoy working with the media? DiaperFreeBaby is looking for a Director of Public Relations and Marketing. The Director will be part of the Executive Council that manages operations of DiaperFreeBaby at the global level and will oversee the team of volunteers that coordinates our public relations, marketing, networking, and events. We are looking for a volunteer who deeply believes in the mission and philosophy of DiaperFreeBaby and wants to spearhead our growth into an organization that proactively advocates the practice of elimination communication beyond local grassroots efforts. We are looking for a Director who can develop a vision for our future growth in this area and lead a team to accomplish great things. Time commitment is approximately seven hours per week.
DIRECTOR OF GLOBAL ADVOCACY PROGRAM
DiaperFreeBaby is seeking a Director of the Global Advocacy Program to oversee our growing team of volunteer staff. The Director of GA will be responsible for recruiting, training, and managing the team of volunteers that manages the administration and internal programs of DiaperFreeBaby. The Director of GA will coordinate with the Directors of other programs to streamline and improve our application processes and to manage ongoing training and support for volunteers. The position will involve developing a big-picture vision for the management of our volunteer team as well as writing job descriptions, recruiting new volunteers, and developing support systems and training opportunities for current volunteers. Time commitment is approximately ten hours per week.
DIRECTOR OF FINANCE AND ADMINISTRATION
The Director of Finance and Administration is responsible for overseeing the financial, legal, and administrative operations of the organization. This person should have a solid understanding of accounting and experience managing the books of a business or non-profit organization. This person must have strong organizational skills and the ability to maintain detailed records. This person will oversee the Legal Affairs Manager, and eventually, the Finance and Accounting Manager and the Administrative/Office Manager. The Director of Finance and Administration is responsible for ensuring the organization follows sound accounting practices and follows the annual budget. She will also work with the Executive Director and external accountant on improving the current processes used for bookkeeping. This person will also be involved in compiling the financial data for the Annual Report and assisting the Executive Director and Assistant Executive Director with creating the budget each year. She also may be elected as the Treasurer of the organization and as such would be responsible for all reporting and filings with the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and the IRS. Time commitment is approximately five hours per week.
