Hi I'm new here and I was wondering if there are any other moms like myself around me.  I live in Brookings, SD (north of Sioux Falls) and I have an (almost) one year old daughter.  We stay at home, breastfeed, AP, and cloth diaper.  I want to continue breastfeeding my daughter after her first birthday passes but I don't have much support around here.  Most people think she's taking advantage of me!  I don't know if anyone knows of any groups around here that are supportive of this type of parenting, but I would be glad to know.  The nearest place for LLLI is sioux fallls and my little girl hates the car.

I was just looking for a doula for myself near Pierre and I found this lady in Brookings SD of J & M Birth Consultants. Marilyn Hildreth 6056915808. Website is jmbirthconsultants.com She is a doula trainer so she ought to be able to help you find support groups. :)

Marilyn Hildreth is AWESOME and I hope you called her.  PM me if you are on facebook.  I don't link mine to my MDC.  I am friends with Marilyn and a few other people you might be interested in talking to.  I might message one and see if she's on here and tell her to look for this post.

I just found out today that there is a breastfeeding support group that gets together in Brookings. I don't know if you contacted Marilyn Hildreth but I heard she normally is there.
