We are planning to get pregnant again in the near future-it was always our plan to have our babies close in age. However, our health insurance didn't originally have maternity on it and now with the new health bill in place we must wait 18mths for any maternity coverage. This isn't logical to our family situation so we are considering a home birth. I was searching for a good midwife already for a hospital birth which makes my husband and I more comfortable but was planning a natural birth aswell. I am torn now!

I found a well acclaimed midwife in St Louis and will be visiting with her soon. Does anyone in the area have well recomended midwives that made you feel comfortable and could handle an overly cautious hubby (hes a cop)?? Or does anyone know of one who has a repore with a hospital in case of emergency???
