I have a River!! dh (before we picked the first name River) thought that hawk would be a cool middle name for a boy. Once we picked River I was like, "umm... no we can't do River Hawk" so he had this list of random names he liked and was looking up their meanings online. He found that Keaton means "Place of the hawks" sooo.. that was that! River Keaton.

I love all the girls names you mentioned. Scarlette Magnolia reminds me of the Grateful Dead song Scarlet Begonias. (She had rings on her fingers and bells on her shoes!)

I like your taste in names! Both our name choices are on your list (Elliot and Iris)!

 

Middle names for River:

River Owen

River Sebastian

River Elliot

River Everett

River Emory

River Marcus

River Apollo

 

For your girls, I like:

Raine (as a middle name)

Caroline

Norah

Iris

Violet

Scarlette ( like the spelling Scarlett better, but thats just personal preference)

 

I love Scarlette Magnolia (also reminds me of the grateful dead!) Other combo suggestions:

Scarlett Raine

Violet Raine

Iris Caroline

Norah Caroline

I just realized Scarlett Magnolia is cross between 2 Grateful Dead songs.. Sugar Magnolia and Scarlett Begonias!

I love your taste in names! My daughter's name is Scarlett Lillian. :-) However, people always forget the 2nd "t" which makes me nuts. eyesroll.gif

 

River is awesome! I think you may want to stick with a two  or three syllable middle name to go with Jones.
