Here to learn from the pros

Hello, all you moms!

As the name aptly says, I'm 'planning ahead' for my turn at motherhood...very far a head.

I'm seventeen (eighteen in June) and I've decided that it's really time to start learning about parenthood.

I was a homebirth, though, as well as my two younger brothers, both of whom had extended bfing (my older-younger brother was weaned for a while, then went back with the youngest til' he was three and my parents spent my dad's birthday week in Austria. We were with his family in Ohio for that week as well). I plan on following in my mother's footsteps, with a homebirth, but probably with a pool thrown in.

My boyfriend and I have been dating a good five years...with no sex, by the way. We might just get married at some point...hopefully between HS graduation and College graduation. My father is turning 61 in May (he got married to my mom, who is fifteen years younger than him, in his forties and had me right away).

Anyway...I might blip on and off from time to time, since I have all my other communities. Buut I'd like to be around people that I can really learn from.

Welcome! I love a planner! Although the things I planned for at 17 were very rarely the things that happened!
