Still pregnant :(  I am 41w4d today. I tried to induce with castor oil yesterday, two 2 oz. doses 4 hours apart, and that got contractions going but they fizzled out. I really really thought I'd be holding my baby by now :( The plan for today is lots and lots of nipple stim. I don't want to have to go for the overdue ultrasound tomorrow and our kids have already been at grandma's for two nights and I don't want them to be there past Tues. or Wed. As my MW said (who went overdue with all 4 of her's) this is like the 'ninth ring of hell.' I couldn't agree more.

Hang in there!  I know this is the hardest part - just keep telling yourself "Nobody stays pregnant forever, not even me".  Wishing you an easy labor and delivery that start soon!

nak!  :)

My MW broke my water in the office Sunday but still no labor. Went to hospital Mon morning at 8, started pit at 10, really kicked in at 11, by 1130 I was asking for an epi, MW checked me and I was 6-7 so then I definitely wanted it since it took me about 7 hours to go from 7 to 10 last time. But the anest. was in the OR where they were sectioning twins. 12 they shut off the pit but contrax still super strong with no breaks at all. 1230 I was feeling pushy (too late fo that epi now) and by 130 I was complete and Analise Rose was born at 144. It was pretty darn awful. At one point I opened my eyes and looked at the monitor and the contraction line was straight along the top with a tiny little dip between (like 10 sec). I was yelling my head off the whole time. I have to say that having had a cesarean, vbac w/epi, and vbac w/o epi I prefer the vaginal birth with epi. After having experienced all 3 I don't feel guilty saying that.  lol.

Congratulations!!  (BTW, my take has always been that you should try the vag. birth w/o epidural first, and then if you decide you don't want to do it again, have that epidural the next time.  At least you know what you're missing!)
