I had a yeast infection at about 9 weeks due to antibiotics for strep throat.  I didn't itch or know that I had it, but the urine test at the doc's office found it. I chose to fight it naturally.  Here are some of the suggestions I have found to help:

Eat yogurt every day (make sure it says active cultures.) YOu can also increase the healthy bacteria in your body by taking the cultures in a supplement form called Probiotics, but I don't know much about them and you might want to ask your care provider.

Eat garlic (helps the body fight everything.)  I cut a clove into a few pieces and swallow them like pills with water so I don't taste it too much.

I have also read that putting yougurt on a tampon and inserting it for a few hours is helpful, especially if you are itchy but I haven't needed to try that.

Take a bath with a few cups of apple cider vinegar (NOT any other type of vinegar.)

These things worked for me, hopefully they can help you.

How far along are you?  I would try taking a probiotic, or even using a probiotic vaginally.

I am 16 weeks........I was reading up on that diflucan it sounded pretty scary to take while pregnant.I should be taking a probiotic due to all the antibiotics I have taken before and during pregnancy =( due to sinus infections.

I had a yeast infection early on in this pregnancy. I upped my probiotics dose to 4 pills a day ( I think each pill has 2 billion bacteria) and I also did a nightly garlic suppository. Just peel the garlic and insert it in to your vagina. Take it out in the morning and after a few nights of this, the yeast is gone. I've also spread liquid probiotics on the outer labia when the itching was bad.

I insert plain, organic yogurt into the vaginal and rub it anywhere that itches/burns.  Apply frequently until symptoms are gone.

I never use commercial treatments for YI's anymore - it's so easy to treat naturally. What's worked for me is a baking soda bath, then the next night a vinegar bath. Alternate until gone, though it's usually gone with the first bath for me. That one's easy because you probably have BS lying around. What I love even more though is boric acid - put it into a large capsule and insert at night. Wear a pad. This one works in one night for me too. Also works for BV.

I had a yeast infection with this pregnancy. I've always been able to self treat with just plain yogurt, but this time, it wasn't working. I used (with doc's approval) a 3-day monistat treatment and had some, but not total, relief. Turns out I had BV as well as yeast, which is pretty common during pregnancy.

Yeast can be hard to fight during pregnancy, but is not usually dangerous. Bacterial vaginosis, on the other hand, can cause risks for the pregnancy. If you don't see improvement within a few days of trying natural remedies, I'd suggest getting swabbed.

Insert the yogurt into the vagina....plain without sugar.  It's gross but works.  I found a syringe type thing from some old medicine and used that....worked better than a tampon applicator.

I agree with all the other posts. Before taking anything orally, I would try some of these suggestions. But even if you have to resort to pharmaceuticals, definitely consider the OTC vaginal/topical stuff first (e.g. clotrimazole) because very little is absorbed into your bloodstream. I would treat Diflucan as an absolute last resort.

You can also treat with apple cider vinegar orally. Take a few tablespoons (you can dilute with water or add honey to make it more palatable) 2-3 times per day and continue at least one day after all symptoms are gone. It has worked many times in our house.
