I have been trying the stretches and resting to help with the pain but what else can I do other than take anti inflamitory pills? I know that is what they did years ago for this problem I had then but I didn't know what I know now and don't really take any medicine unless I am just dying!!! Anyone have this and what did you do other than the stretches for the pain? My calfs are getting so sore and It just simply hurts to walk help!!!! ):Â

Apart from the stretches (which I think probably did the most good in the long term- I found the towel stretch to be very good) I also rolled my arch on frozen cans (wear socks or cover can to avoid damage from the cold). Â This helped with the pain to some degree... but do it cautiously and gently if your arches are very sore.
Â
Really I think it's a matter of patience and time. Â I honestly thought I'd never be rid of it, but after time, I suddenly noticed I wasn't really aware of it any more... it had improved without me realising. Â But it certainly can take quite some time, so don't give up hope!!
Â
As for anti inflamatories... there are several foods which can help with this naturally- garlic, turmeric and ginger being a few- do a search to find more- so might be worth a try.
Â
I've also heard losing weight (if you are overweight) can help to some degree, and maybe lessen the chances of return, but not sure how much effect it has. Â Like for anything, it can't be good I guess... more weight and stress on your feet.
Â
A good diet and some gentle exercise that doesn't stress the area too much may be helpful, as it is with helping the body to heal from anything.
Â
But most of all... time... and keep up the stretches!!!

A friend gave me a suggestion which worked a treat for me. I coated myself in castor oil from my toes all the way up to just below my knee and pulled on a man's tube sock and then went to bed. The pain was gone after one treatment, although everyone who I have convinced to try this said it took a few nights of treatment to feel relief.

I had this and the only thing that has truly worked was losing weight. I was about 100lbs overweight and after I had lost about 40lbs, the problem cleared up. I tried the castor oil, stretches, shoe inserts. negative heel shoes and none of them worked well for me.
Good luck and I hope you can find an easy fix!

PF is the worst! I stretched, rolled my foot on bottles and iced it. I also did use anti-inflammatories when it really flared up. When I began using good support shoes (Danskos) all the time along with the stretching, rolling and icing it got better. Just like a previous poster mentioned it just went away without me realizing it. I ALMOST tried the boot. That would have been my next step.
I went and got the boot but can't sleep with it so will be trying the castor oil tonight and maybe try cutting the gluten out of my diet! thanks for all the posts! Doing much better but still not fixed I have only tried staying off of it and have slacked on my stretches big no no I know (:  Thanks again everyone!Â
