Wild child woolies sizing ?

Ds is 8 months old and Id like to get him a wool soaker. His thighs are really big in comparison to his waist and rise, is this bc his thighs will slim down when he is walking. The large says thighs up to 13.5 inches, and his are 13, but his other measurements are well within the range. Any ideas? Feedback on wcw Soakers?

Dd is 5 months, almost 13 pounds, and 24" long. She has 8" thighs, but a rise more in line with size "small" in diapers. That said, she can wear the XS, the Sm and the Med WCW soakers. The XS is tightest on her thighs, but not uncomfortable. The rise is starting to get a little small, but can fit over the yellow-edge GMD prefolds (about a 13" rise) without problem. The small fits her really well. The medium is a bit baggy on her, and has a longer rise, but I can put them on her without problem. I can definitely see "gaps" in the thighs on the medium whereas the small is definitely "on" her thighs. What is the rise on your little guy? At least in my experience, the rise seems to be a bigger deal on dd with WCW soakers as the soaker itself is quite stretchy. HTH

His rise is about 16, and I think his thighs are 13 , and his waist 19. I guess I'll go for a large, at least he can grow into it if it's too big at that moment. Thx!
