(x-posted working parents) How long to pump for EBF baby?

Hi All, I returned to work when DS was 3 months old; he is now 6 months and it is going well. He's home with DH during the days. He's EBF and just starting to play with foods, but still 99% of his intake is breastmilk. Pumping is going well, I get more than enough and DS has never had a problem taking a bottle, for which I am grateful.

I work at a school and will have the summer off smile.gif so I will put away the pump. I'll return to work in August when DS is 10 months old, and I assume I will still be pumping. But if we do extended nursing (which I did with DD), and plan to do with DS, when can I stop pumping during a work day?

Once he's a year, he'll be eating a fair amount of foods, so I won't need to have as much expressed milk for him at home, but I don't want to lose my supply.

TIA!

I stopped pumping when DD was 14 months and started refusing bottles when I was gone. at that point I was loosing my supply due to pregnancy anyway. it's going to depend on your kid, some still nurse a ton throughout their second year, some only nurse a little.
