Need help with a girl's name!

I'm really struggling with this and need some inspiration.

Here's a list of some names that I like (some are actual contenders, others are out of the running for various reasons):

Amelia

Sophia

Isadora

Camilla

Eliana

Violet

Julieta

Annika

Mila

Aniela

As you can see, I tend to go for girly, somewhat old-fashioned names, usually ending in 'a'.

I'm looking for some other names with a similar vibe, but which are more on the uncommon side. No Olivia, Ava, Lily, etc (lovely names, but way too popular for my liking).

Any suggestions? shy.gif

I absolutely love the name Violet.  That's my pick!

My hebrew name is Eliana, so I am partial to that, too.  But Violet is so beautiful!  I love names that start with "V" - if my current bean was a girl, I was really pushing for Vivianne. Old fashioned, kind of dramatic, but sweet, too!

Hmm, it doesn't end in A, but our baby was going to be Ivy if he were a she.  I think it has an old fashioned ring to it, and isn't popular.

And my DD is Nora and I get tons of compliments on her name being feminine but not too girly.

Those are all gorgeous names on your list!  Good luck choosing and congrats on your girlie!

Amelia, Sophia and Violet are still too popular for my tastes.

Camilla and Isadora are great.

Thanks so much for the suggestions! Loads of these have been on my list at some point or another, though many vetoed by DH.

Lila, Stella, Viola, Louisa, Vera and Nora are all being thrown in for consideration. orngbiggrin.gif

I love the name Elija for a girl.  Delilah?  Luna?  Viola?

We know a Cora.  I think it's a beautiful old fashioned name!
